I missed watching the finale as my parents were in town. Overall, it was a good season and the right guy won which is what counts. Actually I did know because I had seen pictures of it in the Oakland flickr group.  But I had assumed it  was a small  place with a few straggly rose beds and a fountain.   Even so and despite the fact it's well past prime rose season I thought the rose garden might be a good place for a short evening walk. We hit Monterey about 11:00 and quickly headed up to the city campground to grab a camping spot for the night. There are 53, one for each calendar week of the year (it is afterall a calendar).
