Well, maybe. I guess there is "First Place" and then there is "first place" - and the Yankees would seem to only be in "first place" whereas, say, the White Sox might actually be in "First Place" proper.
Not that it matters to me all that much.
However, truth be told, were someone to take the time to teach me the ins and outs of the game I'm sure I'd like it and would probably be a huge fan.
