Endangered Values

In our Endangered Values America's Moral Crisis Jimmy Carter sets out a lot of what is currently wrong with the direction American Leadership is headed. He gives logical reasons for his arguments and manages to do it without sounding preachy. Carter's morality and sense of fairness may stem from his strong spiritual beliefs but he never pushes his faith on the reader. His belief in peace and justice appeals to all because he doesn't shroud it in his religion. Though not exactly a hopeful book it may inspire others to think about how their political choices have moral consequences. The book is not always an engaging read, but it's not long, raises a lot of important questions and causes one to think about why America supposedly a world leader doesn't hold itself to a higher moral standard.

Or if you belong on the other side of the political spectrum and believe in pure evil I guess you can try this book.
