Stormy Weather

Winter finally arrived in the Bay Area this weekend with loads of rain and high winds. Oakland received over 3 inches of rain during the weekend with more expected in the next few days. With reservoirs still only 30% full, there's not much relief for the drought. The stormy weather meant to hiking or kayaking this weekend. I took the opportunity to stay inside and clean the house, dust all my furniture, work on taxes and catch up on some reading. The rain didn't stop the bikers of the Amgen Tour of California though I imagine fewer spectators turned out. Hopefully all the wet bodes well for the coming spring wildflowers!
