Did you feel it?

If you live in the Bay Area and you didn't feel this one, check your pulse. Currently recorded as magnitude 5.6, epicenter located near San Jose this quake just went on and on (30 seconds), back and forth, up and down. No damage done but the shaking was enough to send me scurrying under my kitchen table, and makes me think once again, I don't want to be around for the big one.

More of an up and down motion this time. 4:05pm 3.0 2 miles ESE of Berkeley. There was a 2.4 about 45 minutes earlier which I did not feel in Oakland.

Why yes I did. 3.2 12:15 am August 15 .

How long is 50 seconds? Long enough to wake up and think wow that's an earthquake and it's shaking a lot more than usual. Turned out to be only 4.2 but centered in Oakland and shallow, making it feel a lot worse.
