Ace of Hearts

Yesterday the 880Blog reached 52 posts. That's as many weeks as in a year, as many cards as are in a deck. 50 was the milestone I was looking at for some time, then it passed without my even noticing. Many bloggers seem to go through the phase of wondering what blogging all about. It's a very personal thing, the blog, each person hhas their own reason for what they write. I blog for myself. It's a few minutes of creativity every day, a chance to practice writing skills. A time to reflect for a few moments on things serious or not. I'm not a very open person so my blog tends to be rather shallow, but I'm working on that. It's not like writing prose, more like poetry, or a letter since the reader is intimately involved in the experience. Almost a journal, but with more thought and more filtering. I like editing my posts, making sure all my grammar and spelling is correct, that the sentences are active and concise. It's more free than writing for school or work, I don't care what other people think of what I write, it's not graded. I like the posts to be well written for my own sake. I find the hardest part is concluding a post. I tend to be a rambler and have a hard time closing out what I'm saying. So I'll conclude by saying thank you to bloggers everywhere and here's to 52 more posts.
