Again about the rain

No end in sight says the KTVU weatherman about the rain that continues to pour down on the Bay Area. April showers are all very well and good for the May flowers. But this is California, we have flowers in February. Of the five winters I've spent in California four of them have been unusually rainy. Luckily last winter was normal so I know it doesn't have to be like this. It's amazing how one can get used to a climate in such a short time. Three years ago I would have been happy to have rain instead of snow in April. Now I complain about the mild cold and wet and don't want to go out in the rain. The funny thing is that at some point it will just stop and it won't rain again for months. And in June or July I won't remember the depressing damp April. Soon it will be time to walk and run and simply bask in the sunshine. But for now it's OK to be lazy and drink extra coffee. For I've lived here three years and I know the sun will return.
