Eggs - not just for breakfast
In an office of nearly all woman we talk about our hair a lot. During the latest discussion one woman mentioned that she washes her hair just once a week using a homemade recipe in place of shampoo. In her country if you use someone's idea you are supposed to give them a nickel for it. So after paying my nickel I tried her hair treatment last night. The recipe is mostly egg with a few other common pantry items. It was easy enough to apply and smelled absolutely delicious. I put the extra in the fridge for later use and let the eggy mixture sit in my hair for half an hour. Part of that half hour I spent investigating egg shampoo recipes and sure enough it's not as obscure as it sounds. After the half hour was up I rinsed the eggy shampoo out and let it dry. My hair certainly felt clean but was rather limp which I think is due to the oily nature of my hair. I washed my hair with regular shampoo after exercising the next morning and it came out incredibly clean, bright and soft. I attribute this to the egg mixture removing the buildup of hair products that accumulate over time. So I don't plan on replacing my regular shampoo with egg but as a once a week special treatment it is definitely a good thing. Oh and the leftover egg mixture I had put in the fridge, I cooked it up for breakfast in the morning!

you know, there might be a market niche for shampoo you use on your hair and eat in the morning....Just a thought.
