Rays of sunshine

The bay area was hit with a fantastic spell of warm, clear weather this weekend. On a whim I decided to hop the ferry to San Francisco. So I lined up with the zillion other brilliant people at the ferry dock Sunday morning. Suddenly the lady in front of me exclaims to her friend "check out that giant sting ray!" Sure enough there in the green bay water right by the dock was a large bat ray. I always thought they were more of an ocean fish but apparently they come into the bay and I'm not sure I've ever seen one off the California coast before. You never know what a beautiful day will bring.
