Rachel Ray and Me!

About a month ago I received a flickr-mail message from the photography editor at Rachel Ray's magazine saying they were doing a story on Amtrak's Lakeshore Limited, saw this photo on my flickr page and would I allow them to publish it in the magazine. I'm not a big of Rachel Ray and really don't understand her appeal but finally someone recognizing my true talent as a photographer! I e-mailed the original image to the editor and waited to see if it would appear as promised or not. Sure enough this month on page 164 is my photo along with a small photo credit hidden in the crease of the magazine! Upon reading the article which was not entirely complimentary about train travel I was a little disappointed as I thought everything about riding Amtrak was fantastic. So there's my 15 minutes of fame all used up by Rachel Ray - if only they'd asked me to write the article too!
