Neighbors

I've lived across the hall from the same couple for several years now. I don't see them very often, but when I do we exchange a friendly word or two. It's always comforting to know they're there. And every holiday out comes a special piece of decor. Right on cue the first day of fall brought this cute scarecrow. I think he's a new addition, usually the fall brings a couple pieces of corn on the door. In an apartment building where everyone lives behind an anonymous brown door, seeing a bit of frivolity always makes me smile.
