Something Yummy!

While at the checkout counter in Walgreens today I noticed a new Chipotle across the street. The cashier noticed my look and said "oh, they're giving away free food today, you get one entree and a drink until 1:00" Wow! free Chipotle! I hardly ever get Chipotle since I moved out of Minnesota. Free Chipotle is just too good to pass up so I walked over to stand in the big long line. The line moves pretty fast, so I waited about twenty minutes. While standing in line the Chipotle employees were handing out chips and salsa, passing around menus, asking if anyone had questions, chatting with the customers. Inside there were people going around asking the diners how their meal was. It was very noisy inside due to the large crowd and the plexiglass guard separating the masses from the food prep came up to my forehead so I had a little hearing the employees on the ordering line. At the end of the line the burrito maker forgot to put lettuct on my burrito so when I asked for it I messed up her focus on the burrito folding and she tore my tortilla. Right away the line supervisor got another tortilla for her and had her rewrap it. I would have been just as happy with the torn one but I suppose the idea of the pre-opening is to practice getting things right. I think Chipotle definitely got the opening of the new Alameda store exactly right!
