what not to blog

In which I post a long entry about not blogging the following:
  • Happiness is walking home knowing you have a burrito leftover from yesterday's lunch waiting for dinner. Combine that with knowing the big boss man will be in the office tomorrow so we'll order lunch in. Two upcoming meals with very little effort.
  • Walking home entranced by watching the zillion car freight train and looking up two seconds before walking smack into a lamppost. If this was a movie it would have been the tall, handsome California man of my dreams and we would have actually run smack into each other and lived happily ever after. But unfortunately this is not a movie and I considered myself fortunate for not knocking myself unconscious by walking into a lamppost.
  • Trying to explain to the cat that the fact she threw up every time she ate today is not my fault. And maybe she would vomit less if she stopped trying to eat every piece of string or paper in the house. And the meowing, and the biting and the knocking things off the dresser in the middle of the night isn't going to stop her from vomiting.
  • How I spent weeks believing I would watch Survivor and tape the Alias premiere. But when 8:00 arrived things ended up opposite. And knowing I made the right decision when I sat there at 8:51 with my mouth agape in awe and then two minutes later started gushing tears as Sidney Bristow once again met with tragedy in love.
  • The Yankees are a game ahead going into the upcoming series against Boston. Yet I still have to figure out how to break it to my non-baseball friend that as soon as I pick him up at the airport on Saturday I need to get home to check on the game. Then wondering how I got to be such good friends with someone who isn't a baseball fan, and how I need to fix that.
  • Following the above by thinking there are so many good baseball bloggers that I really can't do much of a baseball post but someday I will try my hand at a post or two of which I've formed some ideas. And maybe I would try to work one tonight.
  • My boss instructing me that I really need to leave work early tomorrow to go on my trip, after I explain the bazillion things that need to be done by 5:00.
  • I meant to blog about the final tent sealing which all went well but there's not much else to say about it.
When I sat down with the x40 to blog I couldn't find the words or the energy to blog about any of these things, but it's the thought that counts!

As long as there is cold beer I'd be perfectly content to watch a game; hell, even go to one. Perhaps there should be six-pack or two standing by so we don't have to waste prescious minutes going to "Bev's", and yes, I know it isn't really "Bev's", and that your father also calls it "Bev's", but that is what the name should be.
