Wamth of night

A few years ago when I no longer had another 98.6degree body in bed with me to rub my frigid toes against at night my mom bought me a hot water bottle. I've been sleeping warm and toasty ever since. The hot water bottle is the best invention since, well I don't know it was invented so long ago. It's certainly the best bed warming technology ever. The leftover hot water from the nightly cup of tea goes into the rubber bottle, which is encased is a lovely emboidered cotton covering. The bottle is slipped under the down comforter and twenty minutes later when it's bed time I climb into a wonderful bed of warmth. I then move the hot water bottle down to the bottom of the bed and all night long it keeps my feet warm. In the morning I wake up to the sweet cat curled up on the warm spot at my feet. So simple, so low tech, yet the hot water bottle might just be the best part of a cold winter night.
