Colored Pencils Week 3

Week 3 in colored pencils started out with a video of a colored pencil art show. It is truly amazing the range the medium has from photorealistic images to soft watercolorish displays. The point of the pencil lends itself to more detailed drawings of cars, people, flowers; not a lot of sweeping landscapes. In general I like the way paint spreads across the paper, the way you can cover a lot of ground quickly. Colored pencil takes a lot of patience, but in the end you can get great results. I can see the ease of use of pencils as a big advantage if you are say on a train, or a plane or in a box or with fox. On the whole I think like painting better, but I'll have more to say once I'm further along on my masterpiece.
