It's been a while since I've talked about the Jack London Square Farmer's Market. It's still going strong, bigger and better than ever I think. Generally the late fall brings an end to the my favorite season of summer fruits and vegetables. And the christmas tree against the palm tree backdrop doesn't sit well with me. Yet I still wander over on Sunday mornings to have a look and pick up some tomatoes and other odds and ends. With the beautiful weather and upcoming feast of Thanksgiving the throngs were out in force this morning. Much to my delight the lady who sells the best vine ripe tomatoes had them at a good price today, along with some fantastic looking pears and broccoli. The pears were going for a bit less than apples today which surprised me. I like a good pear now and then. So after spending my $5 I'm set for the week and look forward to what next Sunday will bring!
