Snow

This is what it looked like much of the time I was in NY for the holidays. The snow is very pretty, and kind of fun to tramp around in a bit. It brings more birds to the feeder and lends a certain tranquility to the world. But after a day I'd had about enough. The snow is cold, slippery and the roadsides all turn a brownish gray. The rain took away most of the snow pretty quickly. But the snow came again just before I left. Really I'd had enough and am glad to be back where even if it's not exactly warm at least it isn't cold enough to snow.
