Monday

As I have every morning for the past few days the first thing I did upon waking this morning was feel my face. Is it itching, burning, are the bumps still there? Last Wednesday night I, of no known allergies, broke out in terrible hives all over my face. Was it the lotion I used? Last week's cat bite? Something else entirely? I'll never be completely sure. By Friday my face was completely covered in red bumps and a doctor visit was in order. The strange thing about having an ailment of the face is you don't often look at your face during the day. However everyone you meet immediately makes judgment based on your face. I forgot I looked like a freak, and as a testament to society noone treated me like I was a walking contagion. Then every once in a while I would catch a glance of myself in the mirror or a window and think oh I really need to stay in my house. My face is finally returning to normal. It looks less like measles and more like bad acne. I certainly won't take my rather average looking face for granted anymore.
