A Hi Def World
I have to say I bought a HDTV because it was flat and looks nicer in my apartment. So when it was all set up and turned on and the HD broadcasts started coming in I was awestruck. There in my living room was crystal clear television that I don't have to pay for. ABC, CBS, WB, etc. I get them all over the air (the cool kids call it OTA) in hi-def, I get 4 public television channels, two channels in what I think is chinese, and two faith channels for those moments of doubting my existence. I'm watching the All-star game broadcast in 720p, I can see every seam of the ball, and the mitts, the deep blues of the batting helmets, the faces of the fans. I didn't know TV could be this good. There's no static, no fuzzy faces it's like putting on your glasses first thing in the morning and suddenly you can see. I don't really understand all the terminology 720p, 1080i, why the movies don't want to fill the whole screen. Whatever it is awesome. Once you go hi-def you can never go back.
