A four day weekend is so vastly superior to a three day weekend they should be more common. My brother left on Saturday, I've scrubbed the house, taken bags of clothes to goodwill, paid the bills, renewed the lease, fulfilled all sorts of social meet ups, gift buying and letter writing. Even the Kat is clean. Last weekend there was time for fireworks, and taking pictures of cranes and trains. Tonight I have a moment of peace. A moment to sit in the sun on the balcony and blog. For tomorrow come visitors whose plans collided in the unexpected events of family and friend being in Oakland at the same time. Tomorrow will come the storm of people at my house, people making noise and messes, a stressed out Kat and a weekend of playing tourist. All of which is fun and a thing to look forward to, but tonight I am enjoying the peace.
