Where's the Bongo Bongo?
The recent problems with spinach have generally had very little affect on my eating habits. I don't eat all the leafy green vegetables I should and those I do eat are usually in some sort of mix of which the absence of spinach is not discernible. Until today that is. Today was lunch at Trader Vic's. All week I've been thinking about the Bongo Bongo soup. For what is Trader Vic's without Bongo Bongo? Just a great Mai Tai and some funky decorations is what it is. So when you go to Trader Vic's expecting Bongo Bongo soup and then you open the menu and there is a nice letter from Mr. Trader Vic explaining there will be no Bongo Bongo soup today due to the spinach issue it's devastatingly disappointing. And when you have a group of ten hungry people going to Trader Vic's expecting Bongo Bongo soup and there is no Bongo Bongo then you could easily have a riot on your hands. But of course there was clam chowder and wonton soup and all the other tasty Trader Vic's food. And the exceedingly strong Mai Tai's. So the lunch was enjoyed. But really it would have been just that much better with the Bongo Bongo.
