Shifting into High Gear

That's a lot of people who are no longer shifting. what do they do when they go to Europe? I read somewhere recently te new James Bond actor had to be taught to use a manual for the part. I'm a shifter, always have been, always will be. There's a certain satisfaction to be gained from smoothly shifting through the gears. Shifting makes you concentrate on the driving, think about the mechanics, feel one with the car. Through necessity I have briefly strayed into the gluttonous world of automatic and it was good, like a day at the spa. But day in and day out I'll take the control, the excitement, the challenge of the manual shifter.
