Recently I spent a week walking across England with the Wayfarers. It was a perfect vacation in absolutely every way. Good walking companions, fantastic guides, amazing food and accommodations. Those are the sort of things that with some work a quality company can put together. What makes the Wayfarers experience beyond compare are the little things, two in particular really impressed me. The first was that I could hand postcards to America to the walk manager in the morning and he would provide the stamps and put them in the mail for me. Lucky for them I didn't have a whole lot of opportunities to buy postcards! The second special touch arrived today. After the walk I filled out the questionnaire asking for comments about the experience. And I do feel that it's important to give a company feedback especially a small company that cares about its customer experience. Today in the mail I received a handwritten letter from the Wayfarers founder thanking me for sending my comments. It was postmarked July 1st. If it didn't have a British stamp on it I wouldn't really have believed it was mailed from England. I also a received a letter from my dad today postmarked June 29 mailed from New York. Tell me there's not something funny going on there!
