Phil Hughes, the Yankees hot young pitching prospect has a new blog this year philhughes.wordpress.com/. The wonderful thing is it looks like any ordinary blog, he uses Wordpress and a pretty standard blog template. There's a visitors map sticking out beyond the sidebar showing he doesn't really know much about html, but at least he's creating this blog himself Just like a lot of bloggers Hughes posts some pictures, a few snippets about his day to day life only it's more interesting because it gives us a little insight into the life of a major league baseball player. Just like anyone else I'm sure he can be fired for what's on his blog so I don't expect any clubhouse secrets to come out. In an era where not much good is written about young stars or baseball players as a whole it's nice to see someone share a little of his life in an honest and fun way. And a blog is a great way for fans to become familiar with a young player.
