This afternoon I spent an hour up close and personal with California wildflowers at the
Oakland Museum of CA's annual wildflower show. This was their 40th annual show! If you're interested in wildflowers it's a great opportunity to examine the flowers for as long and as closely as you want. Hand magnifiers are provided on the tables for an intimate look. I arrived late this afternoon and the flowers were starting to look a bit wilted. Note for next year - go early. However there weren't very many people crowding around the tables so it made for a relaxing visit. Seeing all the wildflowers correctly identified makes me think I need to go back through a few of my pictures and double check what I am calling some of them. The wildflower show is one of Oakland's treasures, it's only one weekend a year so I'm glad I caught it to brighten this gloomy Saturday!
