Maybe, just possibly, too much crab enchilada
In celebration of something that's not Mexican independence and because it was Friday we ordered in food from the local Mexican joint yesterday. Friday means crab enchilada day. Most of the office did not know the goodness of the crab enchilada but were easily convinced that it had to be ordered. I phoned in the order which was taken a bit incredulously but produced in 30 minutes. Oh and how everyone was so happy with the crab enchilada. From past experience I knew that half orders were not enough for the eaters in our office. So we sat down to wonderful full plates of crab delight. Somehow it was all just too much for everyone - the beans, the rice the crab wrapped in tortillas with cheese and special green sauce. So piles of it went into the fridge for later. At the end of the day a crowd formed around the fridge trying to sort whos plate was which. And lo and behold coworker X had put mine name on her plate, as she wasn't taking hers home. So I came home with a carload of my favorite meal. A car that smelled so much of crab enchilada I decided that I had to forego the carwash. For how could I explain the wondrous smell to the hungry workers crawling around inside the car? SO home I came and found a place in the fridge for my weekend nourishment. Now I've eaten nothing but crab enchilada for two days. And maybe, just maybe it's time to have a taste of something else.
