Last month I got really caught in how beautiful it was hiking through England. I almost forgot how wonderful it can be hiking in California. July 4th I hiked to
Alamere Falls with the Sierra Club and got reacquainted with the spectacular California coast. It was gorgeous day and walking along the cliffs above the Pacific I wouldn't have wanted to spend July 4th anywhere else. We walked a barefoot two miles along Wildcat beach with the frigid Pacific refreshing our tired feet. For a change, there were two other fast hikers on this walk and it was an enjoying challenge keeping up with them for fourteen miles. I don't get up to the
Pt. Reyes area very often, but this hike made me think maybe I should.
