Taste of Fall

A few years ago we started hosting ice cream socials at work for all of our clients. They ended up being in October as it took us a while to figure out how to coordinate the whole thing. Baskin Robbins provides the ice cream and when the BR guy first told me the flavor of the month was Pumpkin I was a bit skeptical. He managed to convince me to try it and now every year I can't wait for October. Pumpkin ice cream with M&M's and strawberry topping will knock your socks off. It's the best ice cream treat I've had since we used to order Blizzards made with Chocolate Covered Cherry Ice Cream and Peanut Butter cups back in college. This weekend I saw Ben and Jerry's has pumpkin cheesecake ice cream so I gave them their fair shot. And it's good but somehow more pumpkin pie, not the same blast of pumpkin as in Baskin Robbins. Currently the official flavors of the month are Peppermint and Eggnog, but Pumpkin is listed as a seasonal flavor so you should still be able to find some - get it while it lasts!!!
