Not Again!

Starbucks has announced a price hike for it's exorbitantly costly, highly addictive beverages. The company says the increase is due to higher milk prices. While that does make some sense I'm guessing they're not going to lower the cost of my cappuccino when milk becomes cheaper again.

Last October Starbucks raised its prices by a nickel. While not exactly disastrous it was a fairly traumatic event. I had to start coming up with an extra nickel every day, but more than the cost it's just so inconvenient to have to handle the change. In my circle of Starbucks go getters we don't worry about the small change, it all evens out eventually. But when do you have to start worrying about it? At fifteen cents or twenty five or fifty? When does the person you're giving your three dollars to start to think "she should have given me three fifteen or three twenty five"? And when will the long lines of Starbucks customers start saying I will not pay another dime for my overpriced coffee? OK maybe that day is still a long way off.
